THE BASICS
- I’m training to qualify for the 2010 Boston Marathon.
- During the 84 week training program, I’m focusing my thoughts and actions towards learning about and serving refugee youth in the local Seattle area (World Relief – Seattle) and globally (UN’s ninemillion program).
- One tangible way I’m focusing my thoughts/actions is by tracking my exercise and fasting heartbeats during the training phase. My goal is to log 9 million heartbeats as a tribute to the 9 million displaced youth around the world.
- The 9 million heartbeats will come from training 7 hours per week and fasting twice a month.
- My hope is to also have friends pledge a total of 9 million additional heartbeats as they exercise/fast.
- I’m also trying to raise monetary support ($9,000) for the two refugee support organizations: World Relief-Seattle and the UN’s ninemillion program.
