run: montjuic

5 04 2009

So the flat runs of London are officially behind me.  No more long runs to Hyde Park, Regents Park, and Victoria Park.  While dodging traffic was fun and nothing but flat terrain was relaxing, I was really missing some hills.

Fortunately, our arrival in Barcelona has provided a welcome change!  This morning I got up at 6:30am and ran my own little half-marathon up to Montjuic.  Even though the run started out in the dark, running down Las Ramblas, dodging the crazy amount of drunks still drinking, I summited Montjuic before sunrise and it really payed off.  The views were spectacular.  Running through the grounds of the 1992 Olympics was breathtaking.  My plan is to run at least a half-marathon in every country we visit.

my regular route

This is my “regular run route.” I try to do this at least a couple times a week.
